Documenting Chile Archive Launch Event, Open Day and film screening

September 23 @ 11:00 17:00

The University of East London kindly invites you to our launch event for the Documenting Chile Archive. Located within the UEL Archives on our Docklands Campus Archive, overlooking the Royal Docks and the River Thames, we are looking forward to meet you as part of this informal open day launching our Documenting Chile Archive. This has been a project born out of our involvement with the Crafting Resistance Exhibition in 2018.

Our aim with the Archive has been to work collaboratively with the Chilean community to help establish an Archive which documents the lived experience of Chileans. The Open Day will be a very informal event to both launch the archive and to reflect on the importance of Chilean cultural heritage and to learn about the archiving process. Refreshments will be served during the day and please bring yourselves, a friend, and any questions you might have about the archive.

We would also love to hear about any items you might have which help to tell your own history?

Between 2pm and 4pm, there will be a documentary film of screening of Chileans of the North followed by a Q&A with the director, Chris Paul.  Please register for the screening via EVENTBRIGHT >>

Further details of the Archiving project can be found on our Living Refugee Archive website.
