Conference: “Resistance, Rights and Refuge: Britain and Chile, 50 years after the Chilean Coup”

A conference at the London School of Economics on 20-21 October (date to be confirmed) co-organised by Dr. Tanya Harmer and G. Miqueles, reflecting on the response to the Chilean coup in Britain, solidarity and human rights activism as well as the arrival and experience of exile in the UK. Bringing academics, participants and witnesses together, the conference will explore the legacies of the coup and what lessons can be drawn when it comes to building resistance to oppression, campaigning for fundamental rights and offering meaningful refuge.
