A Get-together: ‘Chilean Exiles Letters as a Lifeline to Family and Friends’

Join us for a special event at The Postal Museum on 16th September 2023, bringing together victims of the Chilean coup of 1973 and exploring the use of the post as a lifeline to friends and family. Activities on the day will include:
- An opportunity to visit The Postal Museum Exhibition Space and see a small display, co-curated with Gloria Miqueles, featuring letters, postcards and packages sent by detainees, exiles, their families and supporters of the Chile Solidarity Campaign.
- A drop-in get-together in the Learning Space between 11:00 and 16:00, with craft activities, Chilean music, refreshments and a chance to share objects and stories with other people who have been affected by the coup.
- A chance to ride on the Mail Rail train between 14:30 and 15:00.
